Financial Assistance
At the Mount Arrowsmith Skating Club, we believe every child should have the opportunity to experience the joy of skating, regardless of financial circumstances. Several organizations offer funding to help families with registration fees and, in some cases, equipment costs. If program fees are a barrier, we encourage you to explore the following funding opportunities:
KidSport
KidSport provides financial assistance to help children and youth participate in organized sport. Eligible families may receive funding toward skating registration fees, helping ensure every child has the chance to be active, build confidence, and enjoy the benefits of sport.
Canadian Tire Jumpstart
Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities helps remove financial barriers so children can participate in sport and recreation. Depending on eligibility, funding may be available for registration fees as well as essential skating equipment.
Athletics for Kids
Athletics4Kids is a British Columbia charity that provides grants to children from families experiencing financial hardship. Funding can help cover registration fees, allowing more young athletes to participate in organized sports, including figure skating.
Need Assistance?
Families are responsible for applying directly to these organizations, as each has its own eligibility requirements and application process. We recommend applying as early as possible, as funding is subject to availability.
If you have questions about our programs or require documentation to support your funding application, please contact the Mount Arrowsmith Skating Club. We're happy to help make skating accessible for every family.
