STARSkate is Skate Canada's nationally recognized figure skating program for skaters who have completed CanSkate or received coach assessment and approval. Designed for skaters of all ages, STARSkate provides opportunities to develop and refine figure skating skills while working toward personal goals and achievements.

 

Skaters receive instruction in the key areas of figure skating:

• Skating Skills – edge quality, power, control, and technique

• Free Skate – jumps, spins, and performance skills

• Artistic – creativity, expression, and interpretation of music

 

STARSkate offers a progressive learning pathway where skaters can participate in group lessons, private coaching, or a combination of both, depending on their goals and stage of development. As skaters progress, they have opportunities to complete Skate Canada assessments, participate in competitions, perform in club exhibitions, and celebrate their achievements along the way.
