TEEN & ADULT SKATING SKILLS
Learn to Skate
13 years & older
It's never too late to learn to skate!
Whether you're stepping onto the ice for the first time or looking to build confidence and improve your skating skills, our Adult & Teen Learn to Skate program offers a fun, supportive, and encouraging environment for skaters ages 13 and up.
Based on Skate Canada's nationally recognized CanSkate teaching principles, this program focuses on developing the essential skating skills needed for recreational skating, fitness, hockey, or simply enjoying time on the ice with family and friends.
Led by Skate Canada Certified Coaches, lessons are tailored to the abilities and goals of each participant. Skaters will develop:
-
Balance and stability
-
Forward and backward skating
-
Stopping and turning
-
Crossovers and edge control
-
Confidence and overall skating technique
No previous skating experience is required. Whether your goal is to learn the basics, prepare for recreational sports, or simply enjoy an active new hobby, this program is designed to help you progress at your own pace in a welcoming, non-competitive atmosphere.
